Who doesnt want to play video games for a living making hundreds of thousands of dollars? Do you think you have what it takes to be among these players? Major League Gaming is where you want to look.
The best of the best are gathered in MLG. These professional athletes, yes athletes, are now sponsored by ESPN among other companies such as Red Bull, Dr. Pepper, Panasonic, and Stride. Even professional athletes such as Gilbert Arenas and Chris Bosh ( who is currently looking to sponsor a team, heres your shot), put their skills and wits against each other in gaming competitions throughout the year. The MLG currently covers the following games:
- Halo 3, the biggest and most widely covered
- Call of Duty 4
- World of Warcraft, brand new to the league and will be debuting in San Diego (see below)
- Gears of War
- Rainbow Six Vegas 2
- Shadowrun
- Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Event #2 of this season is in San Diego, starting June 13th, where Halo 3, World of Warcraft, and Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 will be played. If you can’t qualify for the upcoming tournament, and still want to know what it’s all about, join over 750,000 people worldwide who watched it live at their last huge event. Visit their web site at www.mlgpro.com on June 14 and 15th to view streaming video straight from the floor.
Whatsleet? will continue to bring MLG sweetness with news updates, and hopefully some great fan videos. Stay tuned.
