Whoa, it has been a while since we’ve heard of anything related to the extemely popular, “genre-moving” Diablo series by Blizzard. Originating in 1996, Diablo is a huge cult-favorite among gamers, so we feel it is our job to create intense hype about some happening events around Blizzard.
Blizzard may possibly be hinting at an annoucement for Diablo 3 this weekend (June 28, 29 in Paris, France) at its Worldwide Invitational. The source of the massive rumor comes from Blizzard’s web site, which now bares a Diablo-style, icy splash page. Many gamers are ridiculously hopeful for Diablo 3 to finally show its face, and we believe that it might just be true. Diablo 3 has been a “wished-for” game ever since the 2nd iteration.
Why has it taken so long? Probably something called World of Warcraft, which took Blizzard’s attention for way too long. There are high hopes for the announcement of the latest Diablo, due to the fact that the previous Invitational events brought fans announcements such as Starcraft 2.
