While I’m a big fan of James Bond movies, the games have been a little less than impressive – that is unless the game is Goldeneye 64. Since Goldeneye on the Nintendo, I have never been able to rate newer Bond games quite as good. Something about turning on DK mode and using the Moon Raker on people was just better than anything ever. Multiplayer? Forget about it, best thing since they invented bendable straws.

So what does this say about the new Bond title, Quantum of Solace, coming November 4th? Well, it means that it probably won’t be as good as Goldeneye. But for the sake of gaming and keeping it l33t, it won’t be a bad game – I’ll take playing a character like James Bond and first-person shooters any day, especially now given high definition graphics and oh-so-sweet large TVs that Goldeneye didn’t get to see.

The new game uses the Call of Duty 4 graphics engine, which I couldn’t be happier about. The game looks realistic, and knowing Bond games, there will be many weapons to play with and various ways to use gadgets to get the upper hand on your opponents.

The game also has awesome, Splinter Cell-like, espionage and sneaking around. You can knife people, and creep up behind opponents to kill them when they least expect it. We can’t tell everything, so we suggest you just watch this gameplay trailer, thanks to GameTrailers.com:
